We were out in the field shooting the E-Revo today, and the entire time, I was humming the Legend of Zelda theme song. Here is the result.

This year marks my 5th consecutive year attending the RCX show. And once again, I was blown away at a lot of the booths and all the new product on the way out. The show featured full size short course race trucks and rock crawlers, rock crawling displays, test tracks, and thousands of RC fans. Aside from all the eye candy and bling throughout the show, easily my favorite part was catching up with everyone in the industry and meeting some of you readers. The amount of love and praise we received was a tremendous reminder on who we’re really writing for and it drives us to produce the best product we can for you. For those that didn’t get a chance to make it to the show, look out for coverage in the upcoming issue. There’s a LOT of really cool stuff on the way. Thanks again for reading our magazine. You guys are awesome!

Ever wonder why the front body posts on a touring car chassis are so long? It’s totally unnecessary. I mean, I could be wrong, but no one I’ve ever seen actually uses the highest positions of the posts. Sure, I understand variances in body height and additional positions on the post to compensate, but not by 2 inches, or even an inch for that matter! Unless of course, you’re running a six-fo’ Impala body. Then it makes sense.

As the resident camera geek here, you can only imagine my excitement when we got our GoPro camera from Traxxas this week. That’s right, Traxxas now offers the GoPro camera, aptly named the RC Hero, as an accessory for your car. For those whom are unfamiliar with the GoPro camera, let’s just say it’s a whole lot of amazingness in a little package. For more info, check out Traxxas’ site. Fun will be had. APRIL ‘09 EXTRA PICS: WHAT’S WRONG WITH YOUR FACE Feb 06, 2009 - 11:39 AM
This photo shoot was something I’ve wanted to do forever, for no better reason than to make ourselves look absolutely ridiculous. The plan was simple: relax your face, then shake your head vigorously. And while you’re doing that, have your photo taken; face flex, spit, and all. I brought the idea up to the guys as something to do just for fun. Everyone hesitatingly agreed. But as we swung our faces into oblivion, we found ourselves tremendously entertained. Suffice it to say, the shoot with everyone was engulfed with nonstop laughter. I mean, we’re talking belly aching, teared up, gasping for air type of laughter; followed immediately by dizzying headaches and then of course, even more laughter. This was hands down, the silliest, most fun photo shoot ever in the history of RC Car photo shoots. The results were so hideously amusing that we had to share them with all of you. Keep an eye out for more ridiculousness in future pages of RC Car.
